Forum Policies The staff and Board of Directors of the Autism Society of British Columbia are pleased to provide these Discussion Forums for our members and their families. These Forums have been created to help facilitate the timely exchange of information, opinion and assistance on issues and activities of importance to anyone touched by autism in British Columbia. The forums are available in the topics listed. We felt that these topics would be the best areas to subdivide for the beginning, but this is not meant to be exclusionary — so if you have a topic that doesn’t seem to fit within these categories, please feel free to post it to whichever one comes closest. If you feel there’s a category missing which should be started, please post a message in the Questions section. This web site is continually evolving and will continue to grow to suit the needs of our members. Welcome! GUIDELINES: 1. Please be courteous in your posts, and refrain from personal attacks or abusive language. 2. The ASBC Discussion Forums are unmoderated and uncensored. The responsibility for posts is entirely that of the poster of the message. 3. The ASBC is concerned with people with autism and their families. All posts to the Forums should be related to autism topics. 4. Please remember that while only ASBC members can post to these Discussion Forums, they can be read by anyone with Internet access. Please do not post anything that you would not want anyone in the world to know. 5. Please do not use the Forums to carry on lengthy private conversations with other members. If you need to exchange lengthy information, with a specific other member, please do so via external e-mail or telephone. 6. When posting an answer to a previous post, please quote only as much of the previous post as is necessary to get your point across as the post will be visible or archived for future reading for the duration of the board. 7. Please avoid the use of HTML or enriched text encoding and do not attach files to your posts, unless you feel that the subject matter is not addressed without it. ASBC reserves the right to delete any posting which does not adhere to these guidelines and/or suspend posting privileges for those affecting other members by abusing these rights.
