    Senior Administrative Assistant, Fundraising

    Work Term: 20 hours a week (flexible schedule, but some weekend and evenings required)
    Location: AutismBC Head Office (3688 Cessna Drive, Richmond BC)

    The Autism Society of British Columbia (AutismBC) is a parent-based and directed non-profit society that has been working to provide support to individuals and their families affected by autism since 1975. Assisting families throughout the province, AutismBC has a head office at the Pacific Family Autism Center in Richmond with branches in Nanaimo, Kelowna, and Prince George.  We provide support for the AutismBC community which includes over 4000 members by providing education and training, resources and guidance, as well as community groups and events.

    AutismBC is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant, Fundraising to support a wide range of administrative and donor support tasks.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Fundraising data entry
    • Issuing tax receipts
    • Tracking incoming website donations
    • Sending donor thank you letters and correspondence
    • Supporting community fundraising requests
    • Administrative support to fundraising campaigns
    • Assist in other areas, as required.

    Required Qualifications

    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
    • Process and systems-oriented.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Strong relationship building skills.
    • Technical aptitude for databases and online forms.
    • Copy-editing.
    • Self-motivated, ability to work independently, and manage your time effectively.
    • Enthusiastic, team player with strong interpersonal skills.
    • Experience volunteering or working within the non-profit environment preferred.
    • Passionate about enhancing and improving the lives of those affected by autism in BC.

    Marketing Coordinator

    Work Term: 40 hours a week
    Location: AutismBC Head Office (3688 Cessna Drive, Richmond BC)

    AutismBC is seeking a full-time Senior Marketing Coordinator to support social media, marketing emails, website updates and management, and marketing campaigns. The Senior Marketing Coordinator will participate in our organizational rebrand and bring critical thinking, visioning, strategy, and planning skills to build AutismBC’s marketing strategy, brand and voice. The candidate must also have strong graphics, website and digital platform skills.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain multiple social media accounts and use analytics and research to drive the development of engaging graphics, videos, photos, and written content.
    • Support the development of a marketing and social media strategy with the aim of building a consistent voice and brand to maximize community engagement.
    • Act as a brand guardian for graphic standards and brand positioning by ensuring that the brand standards and tone are reflected in all materials.
    • Lead the development of written and visual content for the organization with a specific focus on increasing digital engagement.
    • Assist with developing, analyzing and evaluating marketing and fundraising campaigns.
    • Improve the integrity, accuracy, and user-experience of our website.
    • Stay up-to-date on digital and traditional marketing trends to help to identify opportunities for AutismBC.
    • Assist in other areas, as required.

    Required Qualifications

    • 2+ years of experience developing marketing-driven materials and content.
    • 2+ years of experience in managing business or organizational social media accounts.
    • Excellent written communication skills, including creative writing.
    • Proven ability in the use of a comprehensive range of IT software (including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) in the workplace.
      • Competent with MS Word and Excel.
      • Experience with Adobe packages including Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop desirable.
      • Familiar with Office 365, SharePoint and working with cloud-based systems.
    • Strong planning, analysis, and strategic thinking skills.
    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
    • Self-directed, self-motivated, ability to work independently, and manage your time effectively.
    • Experience managing multiple tasks to deadlines and prioritizing your workload.
    • Innovative, driven and solution-focused.
    • Enthusiastic, team player with strong interpersonal skills.
    • Experience volunteering or working within a non-profit environment.
    • Passionate about enhancing and improving the lives of those affected by autism in BC.
