Caring, Creative, Curious
I became an advocate for Autistic children and youth through my work as a caregiver and Service Provider over the last 4 years in Vancouver/on Coast Salish territory. I first discovered AutismBC when I joined the Parent and Caregiver Support Group (10+yrs) and I’m grateful to now be a part of the team. As a queer, non-Autistic educator and graduate student, I’m passionate about teaching, learning and research that is inclusive and community-oriented. My writing has been featured in the Georgia Straight, the Montreal Gazette and the Journal of Childhood Studies.
I am a big fan and collector of graphic novels, including those written for kids! Some of my favourites are Lumberjanes, Saga, Skim, Bone, Nimona and Are You My Mother?
