When my son was diagnosed with autism, and I was filling out the questionnaires for his pediatrician, I realized that I, too, must be autistic. At that point, I was not mentally prepared to accept or acknowledge what it was like to be autistic. A year and a half ago, I suffered extreme depression and anxiety. Over months, I realized that it was caused by masking and attempting to hide the fact that I was autistic. AutismBC and specifically the group Zoom chat helped me accept I am autistic. Although I have challenges because of this, I am learning that there are ways to reduce their impact.

I would love to help with questions about income tax, disability tax credit, Canada caregiver amount, etc. I am happy to help with questions about income tax, disability tax credit, and Canada caregiver amount.
