2020 BC Autism Awards: Meet our Hosts!
We would like to introduce all of you to the hosts for the 2020 BC Autism Awards Ceremony!
Jake Anthony
Jake will be a familiar face to many of you. He hosted our event “An Evening with Temple Grandin: ‘Developing Individuals who have Different Minds’” at PNE in 2018 and we are proud to have him return for the third time year, only this time we are welcoming him as the Program Ambassador for AutismBC. Jake is an advocate for persons with diverse-abilities and has a lived experience with autism. We are thrilled to have him on our team and know he will help make October 25th even more special for our nominees, winners, and audience.

Katie Bennison
Katie comes from a background in broadcasting, so you may recognize her voice! Katie spent five years flying over Metro Vancouver as a Helicopter Traffic Reporter; however, we know and love her most through her incredible work as the founder of Lights, Camera, Autism! and through her award-winning podcast, Life on the Spectrum—The Autism Family Podcast. Katie’s daughter, Sophie, was diagnosed with Autism when she was three which inspired her to become an Education Assistant.

Jake and Katie are both excited and happy to be part of the show and are hoping to bring our audience an evening of fun and joy as they announce different award winners and introduce our featured performers. We can’t wait for you to get to know more about them on October 25, 2020 when we honour the #EverydayAutismHeroes in our Story!
