Planning for the future can feel overwhelming, but having the right information can help you make informed decisions for yourself and the people you care about.

Your choice. Your plan. Your life. This free live webinar, in collaboration with Nidus, offers a robust overview of personal planning and Representation Agreements. Nidus staff will review the usefulness of personal planning and discuss ways it can benefit you and your loved ones.

The 60-minute presentation and 30-minute Q&A will address frequently asked questions, including:

  • What is personal planning and how is it different from estate planning?
  • What if I have a Will and an Enduring Power of Attorney—am I covered?
  • What is a Representation Agreement and why are there different types?
  • What if I can’t make any of these documents?
  • What will happen to me in an emergency if I can’t speak for myself?
  • What if I don’t have family nearby?
  • Why should I register my legal documents?

Questions may be submitted in advance by emailing [email protected]. Due to time constraints, only selected questions will be answered during the session.

When/where: Sept. 25 from 12-1:30 PM PT live via Zoom

Why This Talk Matters:
  • Many people assume that a Will or Power of Attorney covers every situation, but these documents serve different purposes. Understanding your options before a crisis occurs can help ensure your wishes are known and respected.
  • Whether you are planning for yourself, supporting an autistic family member, or helping someone navigate future decision-making, this session will provide practical information about personal planning in BC and the legal tools available to support autonomy, choice, and peace of mind.
  • No prior knowledge is required, and there will be an opportunity to ask questions during the live Q&A.
