DESCRIPTION:AutismBC members of all ages are invited to join us at the Okanagan Science Centre for FREE on Feb. 22 from 3:30 – 5:30 PM PT!    \nThis outing is designed to be relaxed\, inclusive\, and supportive\, with plenty of hands-on activities and space for different sensory and learning needs. We hope you can join us for a fun\, low-pressure day of learning and connection!   \nExplore the entire venue\, including:   \n\nThe new Wild Weather exhibit\, an immersive exhibit that explores the science of extreme weather through hands-on displays\, simulations\, and stunning visuals  \nAI Playground & Robotics lab\, a dynamic space where all ages can explore hands-on learning with robotics  \nSpace Room where visitors can explore the wonders of the cosmos with interactive exhibits like the Space Ball Wall and Rover LEGO Building station  \nAnd more!\n\nYou’ll even get to build a small catapult contraption to take home with you!   \nClick the button below to register.  \n \nDon’t have an AutismBC membership yet? Please contact us. \nAbout the Okanagan Science Centre\nThe Okanagan Science Centre is an interactive science museum in downtown Vernon where visitors of all ages explore science\, technology\, and innovation.  \nAccessibility\nThe Okanagan Science Centre offers sensory backpacks and noise-cancelling earmuffs. The backpacks and noise-cancelling earmuffs are available for loan on a first-come\, first-served basis. Each sensory backpack contains items for self-regulation\, tactile input\, and various tools. All items must be returned at the end of your visit.   \nPlease note: the Okanagan Science Centre is located in a two-story heritage building and they do not offer elevator access to the second floor and planetarium.   \nVisit their website to learn more. \nAbout AutismBC Goes \nAutismBC Goes is a series of free\, safe\, supportive\, and inclusive events designed to connect the autism community.
