DESCRIPTION: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPokémon Club: A Fun\, Inclusive Program for Children and Youth \nOur Pokémon Club is a facilitated\, themed monthly program designed for children and youth ages 6–16 to enjoy a shared passion for Pokémon through games\, activities\, and fun social connections. Participants can come in costumes\, bring Pokémon-themed games or puzzles\, and even trade cards if they’d like! \nProgram Details: \n\nWho: Children and youth ages 6–16\nWhen: 1st Saturday of each Month (specific dates/months may vary)\nWhere: Pacific Autism Family Network\, 3688 Cessna Drive\, Richmond\nCost: Free\n\nTo ensure fairness and inclusivity\, the club operates on a rotational invitation list. We currently have a waitlist for this popular program. If you’re interested in joining or learning more\, please reach out to us through our contact page. \nAdditional Information: \n\nSpace is limited.\nRegistration and a ticket are required to attend.\nOlder participants are welcome to join as volunteers or mentors. Our mission is to inspire connection through sharing tips and tricks and playing together.  \nHow:  We bring you our monthly Minecraft Socials in partnership with Elysium\, a non-profit building a Minecraft server community for neurodivergent kids! Come meet and play with other kids who love Minecraft over a moderated Zoom video call and on the private\, white-listed server.  \nWhen: March 25\, 2025 from 4:00 – 5:00pm \nWho: If your child/youth has been playing Minecraft for less than a year or if you’ve never played Minecraft on the Elysium server before — this is the right group for you. The Elysium Minecraft server is a whitelisted\, supportive\, and inclusive environment. It is available any time outside the monthly event for unstructured\, safe play and social connection. This AutismBC Social Minecraft Club is administered by Michael & Serene\, program volunteers with the Elysium team.  \nWhile activities may range from month to month\, we will play on Elysium’s modded RPG survival world. \nWe will focus on teaching and practicing the fundamentals of the game\, including:  \n\nBuilding any structure your heart desires \nExploring a Survival World \nFarming and taming pets\nBuy\, sell\, and trade resources from shopkeepers\, villagers\, and other players.\nParticipate in group challenges like building battles & mini-games while learning structured team play. \n\nCost: Free*; AutismBC membership is required to participate in the event. *(One-time purchase of Minecraft Java Edition Software for PC/Mac) \nDon’t have an AutismBC membership?
