While many children continue to thrive\, increasing numbers are struggling with anxiety\, depression\, chronic absenteeism\, and behavioural challenges in schools. Educators are also feeling the strain\, with many leaving the profession due to stress and dissatisfaction.  \nDr. Ross Greene will explore how we can meet children/youth where they are at\, honour developmental variability\, and support changes that enhance emotional safety for both children and educators. Drawing on his evidence-based Collaborative & Proactive Solutions (CPS) model\, he emphasizes:  \n\nProactive interventions rather than reactive interventions \nFocusing on solving the problems that are causing concerning behaviours  \nSolving problems collaboratively rather than unilaterally \n\nDr. Greene will provide a framework to create safer\, more inclusive\, and supportive learning environments. Participants will leave with actionable strategies and hope for fostering belonging and growth for all students.  \nContent Note: This session includes discussion of children’s mental health and school-related stress. Please take care and participate in ways that feel right for you. \n\n\n\n\n  \n\nAbout Dr. Ross Greene (PhD):\n\n\n\n\nDr. Ross Greene is the originator of the Collaborative & Proactive Solutions (CPS) model\, as described in his influential books The Explosive Child\, Lost at School\, Lost & Found\, and Raising Human Beings\, and the recently-released The Kids Who Aren’t Okay: The Urgent Case for Reimagining Support\, Belonging\, and Hope in Schools.
