I was inspired to create a Pokémon Club to encourage kids of all neurotypes to meet over a shared passion. For many children on the spectrum, Pokémon is a special interest, and it can provide a great starting point for friendships.  The purpose of the club is to provide all participants with a safe place where they are able to interact with friends in whatever way they feel comfortable. I love finding new and creative projects for the kids to explore. For me, the club is a way to give back to the community and feel connected to other parents!

I have one of the most eclectic collections of hobbies — everything from nerdy pursuits like DND and reading to outdoor pursuits like backcountry camping and world travel. That said, I am pretty basic at Pokémon Club because my favourite is Pikachu!
