Where to Donate Clothing and Fabrics

August 3rd, 2020

AutismBC

One of the easiest ways to support AutismBC is through our proud partner: Trans-Continental Textile Recycling Ltd (TCTR).

According to Waste Reduction Week Canada, the average Canadian throws out over 37kgs of clothing and textiles every single year, 95% of which could be recycled (Waste Reduction Week Canada, 2018)! Instead of adding to that shocking statistic, you can use TCTR’s locally owned and operated service to donate or recycle your old textiles while also supporting AutismBC. Since 1990, TCTR’s recycling program has reduced the amount of fabric in our landfills and helped generate over $700,000 for AutismBC.

TCTR is unique as it offers the only collection service that funds a broad spectrum of locally-based charitable organizations and is the only organization in BC that takes full responsibility for the complete processing and distribution of all the textiles collected, from usable clothing to industrial wiping rags and textile waste. Simply drop off of your old clothes or fabrics to any of the following locations and TCTR will do the rest! From old shop rags to good, used condition clothing: everything is accepted.

Would you like to support AutismBC by raising funds while earning an income for yourself?

Trans-Continental Textile Recycling is offering an opportunity for you to earn a one-time commission by securing new clothing bin locations that will help generate funds for AutismBC. You will receive $200 per location for securing a bin placement for AutismBC. Utilize your current network of business owners and people you know. Five placements a month can earn you an extra $1000/month. You can spend as little or as much time as you wish and you would be your own boss.
