Autism BC Goes to IMAX Great Bear Rainforest (Victoria)

October 1 @ 10:00 am - 10:45 am

AutismBC Goes to Sensory Sensitive Viewing of Great Bear Rainforest at IMAX Victoria!

Join Sarah Taylor, our Vancouver Island Regional Coordinator, for a unique sensory-friendly screening of the breathtaking film, Great Bear Rainforest, narrated by Ryan Reynolds.

Journey to a land of grizzlies, coastal wolves, sea otters, and the all-white spirit bear – the rarest bear on earth. Hidden from the outside world, the Great Bear Rainforest is one of the wildest places left on earth, situated on Canada’s remote Pacific coast. It is the last intact temperate rainforest in the world, protected by the region’s indigenous people for millennia. Now, for the first time ever, you can experience this magical world in IMAX and giant screen theaters.

About IMAX® Victoria:

IMAX® Victoria is located inside the Royal BC Museum in Victoria, BC, Canada.

The 369-seat, 8-wheelchair-stall theatre features 4K IMAX® with laser providing a 2D and 3D experience; with a projected area more than 6 stories high and 80 feet wide, it is the biggest screen in BC and fills the viewer’s entire field of vision.

The theatre opened in June 1998 and hosted more than 80,000 people in the first month. Local residents and visitors loved the new theatre in town and its first feature film, Whales. Since that time, more than seven million people have enjoyed the IMAX® Experience at IMAX® Victoria.

Our programs are designed to support, empower, and connect the autism community!
