June 2 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Free
Promotional banner for AutismBC Goes to The Golden Spurtle at VIFF on June 2.

We’re pleased to invite autistic adults with AutismBC memberships and their plus-ones to a VIFF screening of The Golden Spurtle — a warm-hearted and wonderfully quirky documentary that follows Charlie Miller, a charismatic competitor for the Scottish Golden Spurtle in the World Porridge Making Championships.

Connect with other autistic adults in our membership, enjoy the film, and stay for an optional meetup afterwards at a local coffee shop where you can discuss the film with others*.

* Optional meet-up afterwards is self-paid.

Date/time: Tuesday, June 2, 6-8:30 PM PT
Tentative Schedule:

  • 6 PM: Arrive at VIFF Lochmaddy Studio to check in
  • 6:20: Screening of The Golden Spurtle begins
  • 7:45: Screening ends
  • 8: Optional meetup at Breka on Davie (855 Davie Street, Vancouver [map])
  • 8:30: Goes ends

Location: Lochmaddy Studio Theatre at VIFF Centre, 1181 Seymour Street, Vancouver (map)

This is a 19+ event. Accessibility information is available on VIFF’s website.
