AutismBC Goes to Sensory-friendly Skate (Victoria)

Join us for a sensory-friendly skate in a lower-stimulus environment.

Bring your family, lace up your skates, and glide into a sensory-friendly Christmas Eve morning, designed with our community’s needs in mind.

What: An AutismBC sponsored sensory-friendly skate

When: Dec. 24, 2024, 10:30-11:30 AM PST

Where: Juan De Fuca Recreation Centre, 1767 Island Highway, Victoria BC

Who: AutismBC Members and the South Vancouver Island community

Event details 

AutismBC is sponsoring a fun and inclusive sensory-friendly skating event on Christmas Eve morning! 

  • A relaxed and welcoming environment for all 
  • Free admission, including skate and helmet rental 

Additional recreation centre support staff will be available, and the event will feature: 

  • Reduced lighting and lower sound levels for a calmer experience 
  • Please note that the parking lot may be busy, so allow extra time to arrive 

The ice will be limited to 100 people at a time. 

This is a sponsored community event; no AutismBC staff will be on-site.
