Event details:

  • During this event, the centre is closed to the public. Lighting will be dimmed, and music and other noises will be kept to a low volume. You can explore the centre and its exhibits at your leisure. Take part in the activity, have pizza, and explore—in whatever order you want!
  • There are many things to see, from the paleontology and animal rooms to geology, space, and chemistry areas! There is something for everyone, no matter your interest in science.
  • The entire first floor is wheelchair accessible; however, because of the building’s age, the second floor is not, as there is no elevator. The activity will be in an accessible space, and we will accommodate members as best we can.
  • They offer sensory backpacks and noise-cancelling earmuffs*, which are available for loan on a first-come, first-served basis at the front desk. Each sensory backpack contains items for self-regulation, tactile input, and various attention-focusing tools. All items within the sensory backpack must be returned at the end of your visit. *Additional charges for sensory backpacks returned with damaged or missing items may be applied.
  • All accessibility info can be found here.

Registration details:

  • We have 50 spots available on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is required for all attendees. A waitlist will be maintained for any spots that open due to cancellations.
  • To ensure fairness and equity, we encourage the registration of one caregiver per family and a limit of four household members per registration, as space is limited to 50 spots total for caregivers and their children.
  • Registration opens on Monday, February 24, at noon.
