AutismBC Goes to Uphoria Yoga (Vancouver)

April is Autism Acceptance Month and AutismBC is pleased to partner with Uphoria Yoga to provide a free community yoga class for youths aged 7-14.  Uphoria Yoga is Vancouver’s first family yoga academy. 

Emma Basky from Uphoria Yoga will lead the in person class.  Her bio is below.

Instructor’s BIO- Emma Basky has over 15 years of experience working with kids of all ages and abilities in a variety of settings including camp, the classroom, the swimming pool, the home, and of course, on the yoga mat. She has a Bachelor of Education and is a certified yoga teacher. In addition to teaching children’s yoga at Uphoria, Emma works as an IMTI autism therapist, under the direction of autism treatment specialist Jonathan Alderson. By merging her passion for teaching kids and love her for yoga, she aims to help children develop self-love and mindfulness in a fun and safe space. Emma can’t wait to see you on the mat! 

Please come to join us for this fun event and support autism awareness! 

 

Registration for this event will open on April 20st, 2022 at 11 am. When registering, please register for 1 attendee only. On the day of the class, each attendee can bring in 1 additional parent/caretaker to the class.

Spots are limited, so once they fill up, a waitlist will be created. An email will be sent out to those who receive a spot.
