AutismBC Talks: Autism in the Teen Years

AutismBC is pleased to collaborate with Provincial Outreach Program for Autism and Related Disorders (POPARD) to present a series of workshops in 2021, aiming to provide resources for families to help their kids (and parents) learn at school, at home, and in the community.

Topic: Autism in the Teen Years
Many parents/caregivers wonder how the physical and hormonal changes of adolescence will affect their child on the spectrum. This session will:
- Discuss physical/mental/emotional growth in the teen years
- Provide ideas for how to support common challenges relating to education, as well as friendships
- Discuss how you can start preparing for the transition out of high school to adulthood
