AutismBC is pleased to collaborate with Provincial Outreach Program for Autism and Related Disorders (POPARD) to present a series of workshops in 2021, aiming to provide resources for families to help their kids (and parents) learn at school, at home, and in the community.

Topic: Effective Collaboration Between Families/Caregivers and School Staff
Parents/caregivers work with the school system in many ways and it is important to foster good relationships to make the most out of your child’s education. This session will review:
- The roles, rights and responsibilities of teaching staff, EAs, administrators, and parents.
- A helpful framework to support collaboration between schools and families
- Information on advocacy steps and supports.
