AutismBC Goes to the Okanagan Science Centre (Vernon)

AutismBC members of all ages are invited to join us at the Okanagan Science Centre for FREE on Feb. 22 from 3:30 – 5:30 PM PT!   

This outing is designed to be relaxed, inclusive, and supportive, with plenty of hands-on activities and space for different sensory and learning needs. We hope you can join us for a fun, low-pressure day of learning and connection!  

Explore the entire venue, including:  

• The new Wild Weather exhibit, an immersive exhibit that explores the science of extreme weather through hands-on displays, simulations, and stunning visuals  
• AI Playground & Robotics lab, a dynamic space where all ages can explore hands-on learning with robotics  
• Space Room where visitors can explore the wonders of the cosmos with interactive exhibits like the Space Ball Wall and Rover LEGO Building station  
• And more!

You’ll even get to build a small catapult contraption to take home with you!

About the Okanagan Science Centre

The Okanagan Science Centre is an interactive science museum in downtown Vernon where visitors of all ages explore science, technology, and innovation. 

Accessibility

The Okanagan Science Centre offers sensory backpacks and noise-cancelling earmuffs. The backpacks and noise-cancelling earmuffs are available for loan on a first-come, first-served basis. Each sensory backpack contains items for self-regulation, tactile input, and various tools. All items must be returned at the end of your visit.  

Please note: the Okanagan Science Centre is located in a two-story heritage building and they do not offer elevator access to the second floor and planetarium.
