AutismBC Goes: Gourd Times Pumpkin Contest (Online)

Gourd news! Our popular pumpkin contest from Northern BC is back — and this year, we’re inviting the entire province to join in on the fun! 

Whether scary, silly, or sensory-friendly, all pumpkin creations are welcome. Carve, paint, decorate — anything GOES! Join us in celebrating creativity in the autistic community with our fully online Gourd Times Pumpkin Carving Contest.

What: 

• Submit your pumpkin carving or decorating masterpiece online via our Gourd Times Pumpkin Contest submission form for a chance to win an AutismBC t-shirt or tote bag 

• Have your creation featured in our Halloween Show & Tell social media reel to be posted on Halloween, Oct. 31 

When: 

• Submissions open: Oct. 6, 12 noon 

• Submissions close: Nov. 3 at 12 noon

Who: 

• All AutismBC community members across BC 

• This program began as a Northern BC initiative we’re thrilled to expand province-wide! 

How: 

• Post your pumpkin on Instagram or Facebook, tag @AutismBC, and use #GourdTimesWithAutismBC 

• We’ll reshare your creations and include them in our Halloween Show & Tell Reel 

• Prefer to keep it private? No problem — just submit via the form only 

• Four winners will be randomly selected, with one winner chosen from each region of the province (Lower Mainland, North, Vancouver Island, and Interior)
