Are you interested in learning how to better support autistic people in your community or workplace? Do you want to make your space more inclusive and accessible for all neurotypes?

Our What is Autism? Workshop offers guidance on creating welcoming environments that reflect the needs and voices of the autistic community.

In this 1-hour session, we will:

  • Dispel common myths and stereotypes about autism
  • Explore sensory profiles and how sensory experiences impact daily life
  • Discuss self-regulation strategies and how to support them
  • Build empathy by understanding how autistic people may experience the world
  • Share practical tips for offering meaningful, individualized support

This workshop is a great starting point for anyone wanting to deepen their understanding of autism from a neuroaffirming perspective. You’ll hear what the autistic community wants others to know — in their own words — and leave with tools to help create more inclusive and compassionate spaces.

Developed with insights from autistic self-advocates, family members, and professionals, this session includes a 40-minute presentation followed by a 20-minute Q&A. Everyone is welcome — feel free to invite colleagues, friends, and family.

Let’s learn together and work toward communities where autistic people are understood, respected, and supported.
