Your gift makes us stronger

Donate to help autistic people and their families access a safe, judgement-free community of peers.

Give so families like Caitlin’s can connect to the support they need from AutismBC Meets Programs.

AutismBC Meets provides opportunities for people in the autism community to connect, empower, and learn from one another. We believe in the power of community to uplift each other through all of life’s ups and downs.

Help autistic people and their families find a safe, judgement-free environment to be themselves.

Because everyone needs a place to Meet.

Meet Caitlin

Caitlin is the mother of a four-year-old autistic child and is autistic herself. She attends two AutismBC Meets groups: one for parents and one for autistic adults. It gives her a place to relate to others in a way she never could before.

“I feel incredibly validated, I feel seen, I’m able to learn how to take off the masks I’ve taught myself to wear my whole life and be authentically myself.”

Why donate to AutismBC?

Everyone needs a place where they feel safe to open up and share their challenges and triumphs.

A place to connect with a community of people who understand and can offer advice.

A place to turn in crisis.

A place to listen, learn, and laugh.

AutismBC Meets provides opportunities for people in the autism community to connect, empower, and learn from one another. We believe in the power of community to uplift each other through all of life’s ups and downs.

Because everyone needs a place to Meet.

Meet Teresa

Teresa is the mother of a ten-year-old autistic child. When her kid was diagnosed in the middle of the pandemic, Teresa was feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, and isolated. AutismBC Meets provided a lifeline to the knowledge and empathy of other parents.

“It takes a village to raise a child and AutismBC Meets are like connecting to your modern village.”

Blogs:

“Donating to Autism BC Meets gives caregivers a refuge to repair, gather our thoughts, make plans, share a wealth of knowledge, and find a moment to feel understood.”

“When people donate it benefits not just the caregivers, but their families. When you lift one person up, you lift everyone up. And that makes the world a better place.”
