AutismBC Goes to Wet Paint Night for Caregivers (Prince Rupert)

We are hosting an AutismBC Goes to Wet Paint Night for Caregivers in Prince Rupert with our Northern Regional Coordinator, Sharon Grattan. 🎨💦🌈🖌️ 

It’s time to tap into your creative spirit, caregivers! Enjoy an evening of artistic exploration, relaxation, and the sheer joy of creating something beautiful with wet paint. More than just a painting night, this is a chance for the parent/caregiver community to connect. Join us on a journey of self-discovery through the world of colours!


  • How: Registration is required; see below. 
  • Who:AutismBC Adults (18 & up) Northern BC members, specifically in Prince Rupert and surrounding areas. 
  • What: We have space for 20 painters – parents, partners, adults and caregivers. 
  • Date: Wednesday, February 28, 2024
  • Time: 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm

What to Expect:

Here’s what you can expect at our upcoming wet paint night:

🎨 Event Duration: Typically lasts one to two hours, providing the perfect time for a relaxed experience.

🖌️ Prepped and Ready: Upon your arrival, the room will be set up and ready for your creative journey. Canvases, brushes, and a vibrant array of paint will be at your disposal.

🤝 Socialize and Settle: Take the time to mingle with fellow participants, find a comfy spot, and claim your seat. As everyone settles in, Coral will kick off the event with a warm introduction to set the stage for your painting adventure.

🎨 Guided Painting Session: Our focus for the night will be creating a beautiful piece of art—everyone in the class will be working on their unique version of the same painting. Coral will guide the group step-by-step, helping you bring your vision to life on the canvas.

🚶‍♀️ Personalized Support: While you work on your masterpiece, Coral will be making rounds, offering advice, and answering any questions you may have. It’s a collaborative and supportive atmosphere designed to enhance your painting experience.

🎨 Affordable Creativity: The best part about Wet Paint Night is that you enjoy the artistic process without investing in expensive painting supplies. We’ve got you covered, so come ready to paint, have a great time, and let your creativity flow!


Additional Important Details:

  • This event is for parents, partners, adults and caregivers, not children. 
  • Childcare will not be provided.
  • Please ensure you wear clothes that you are comfortable getting paint on. (old shirt/paint smock)
  • Snacks and refreshments will be provided. If you have a severe food allergy, please notify us at [email protected]
  • All persons attending need to be registered – Spots are limited!


Paint Night Image Selection:

We have four images to select to paint; only one image will be chosen. In your registration, please let us know your image preference. 





  • Registration opens on Monday. January 29, 2024, at 9:00 AM, and closes as soon as spots are allocated.
  • Please note that spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and we will have a waitlist in place if necessary.
  • You can register up to 2 participants per membership ID, and multiple registrations are unavailable.

  • If you register and are unable to attend, please let us know right away by email so we can allocate your spot to a waitlisted registrant. 




No artistic skills are required—whether you’re a seasoned artist or just starting out, everyone is welcome to join in the creative fun. There’s no pressure to learn, and it’s definitely not a formal art class. Just come as you are, have a good time, and maybe discover a few creative tricks along the way.

It’s a laid-back event designed for pure enjoyment and self-expression. See you there!
