Educational accommodations and supports are designed to minimize obstacles for learning or participating in the educational environment. The accommodations and supports your child receives will depend on their needs and the goals set in their Individual Education Plan. This session will include:

  • An overview of rights and responsibilities for providing accommodations to students in BC.
  • How parents/caregivers can effectively collaborate with school teams to ensure accommodations are put in place.
  • Common accommodations and supports for students on the autism spectrum in schools.

1 hour session (45 minutes content, 15 minutes Q&A)
