AutismBC Talks: Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

AutismBC is pleased to collaborate with Provincial Outreach Program for Autism and Related Disorders (POPARD) to present a series of workshops in 2022, aiming to provide resources for families to help their kids (and parents) learn at school, at home, and in the community.

Topic: Individual Education Plans (IEP) 
 

The IEP is an important tool to support the education of students on the autism spectrum. This session will include:

  • Key features of an effective IEP meeting.
  • Roles and responsibilities of the school team and parents/caregivers.
  • Exploration of two IEP frameworks that are used across British Columbia: the SMART Goal framework and the new Competency-Based IEP framework
